Product Reviews: Missha BB Cream and Geo Angel Circle Lens

I wanted to share two products that I'm currently using:

1) Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF 42 PA+++
2) Geo Angel Brown Circle Lens

The Missha collection is the first BB cream I've tried.  For those of you who don't know, BB cream stands for Blemish Balm cream.  It's part of a huge cosmetic trend that I think started in Korea (don't quote me on that!) and gradually became popular all throughout Asia.  It functions as both a foundation and a skincare treatment, and claims to have skin-regenerating properties.  Since I'm not a huge fan of foundation, I decided to try out these little wonders in a bottle.  The hard part was figuring out which brand to try.  I've read rave reviews about the Missha line so I purchased a bottle at Marukai.

Here's the packaging

I purchased shade No. 23 (Natural Beige).  It's a little lighter than my skin tone but there's only two shades available and this is the one that most suits me =/

What it claims:

It lightens skin tone by healing visible wrinkles and blemishes with excellent skin-cover ability, and prevents skin aging through effective whitening and anti-wrinkle properties.

Pros:

- Light coverage, similar to a tinted moisturizer
- Doesn't break me out
- Very natural looking
- Comes in a pump bottle so it's very hygienic
- Smells wonderful

Cons:

- Only 2 shades!  And they're very light shades since it's targeted towards Asian skin...but not all Asian skin is snow white!
- Oxidizes later in the day, but can be remedied by applying setting power

I haven't used this long enough to notice any significant changes in skin whitening or lightening of scars so I'll just have to wait and hope for the best.

The second item I've recently tried out are circle lenses.  What are circle lenses?  It's another HUGE phenomenon in Asia.  They're contact lenses that contain a thick black outer ring to create the illusion of having bigger, wider eyes.  So if anyone's been wondering how so many Asian women have enormous dolly eyes, their secret weapon is circle lens!  Again, I was unsure of what color/style to purchase due to the ridiculously enormous collection that's available, so I decided to play it safe and buy the Geo Angel Brown.  If you're interested in checking out the collection, you can view them here (note: I am not sponsoring of any of these products, just merely providing my honest opinion of them).

These are the different colors in the Geo Angel series

I received a free animal case with my order xD

Pros:

- Natural looking brown color
- Gives a cute, dolly look
- MUCH more affordable than my previous Freshlook colored contacts

Cons:

- Comfortable only up to 4 hours.  It's NOT recommended to wear circle lenses any longer than that
- Takes some time to adjust to the feeling of the bigger lenses
- Dries out eyes faster

I do like the look the circle lens gives me, but honestly, to wear lenses for only 4 hours is not practical for me.  I wear lenses mainly for vision, not beauty.  If I wore these lenses any longer than 4 hours, my eyes will turn red and irritated, which is very disappointing.  So I'm only going to wear these when I want to look nice I guess (i.e., parties, hangouts, etc).  Otherwise, I'll be purchasing my expensive Freshlook contacts again *sigh*

Wearing the Missha BB cream and the Geo Angel Brown lenses

So there you have it!  Alright, time to get ready for my company Christmas dinner!  So excited~

Small Gift, Big Smile

Check out my new rolexes:

Haha, okay they're not exactly rolexes--they're better.  When I discovered that McDonald's was featuring Sanrio watches as part of their 50th anniversary celebration, I was ecstatic!  My very first one was a Keroppi watch, but I decided to trade it in for the Chococat watch since it's one of my favorite characters.  I really want to just collect them all...I think I actually will =P

The Hello Kitty watch has been sold out EVERYWHERE.  Well, maybe not everywhere, but it darn well seemed like it!  I've searched high and low at so many different McDonald's, only to be disappointed.

However!

Sally was kind enough to give me one that she found (at a McDonald's in Yorba Linda LOL) and I was sooo thrilled!  Thank you Sally!  You made my day~ <33

Some Disney trimmings, please!

I'm planning to add a little Disney magic to our Christmas tree this year.  I would buy more ornaments but I don't want the poor tree to fall over.

If you want to bring Disney home for the holidays too, they're having their Friends & Family event till November 15th (sorry for the extremely short notice):

You're never too old to love Hello Kitty

I've been debating whether or not I want to go to LA to visit this Hello Kitty (HK) mini expo they're having.  For those of you who don't know, I'm a HUGE Hello Kitty fan.  I'm not going to say "addict", because I know some people who are seriously obsessed.  But I am a big HK lover.  And if there's anyone who says HK is for younger girls, well poo to you!  You're never too old to love HK!  It's the same as all the older Disney lovers out there (which I personally am!).  If adults can love Mickey and all other things Disney, then why can't they love HK as well?  Am I right or am I right? =P

Back to the mini expo event, I'm just not sure if it's worth it to drive all the way to LA.  I went to their latest tour event at the District in Irvine a week ago and I was a bit disappointed.  It was a much smaller event than I thought it would be and I didn't think it was worth it to wait in line to buy their limited edition items (they were selling special merchandise for Hello Kitty's 50th anniversary).  I only managed to take a few pictures before I eventually decided to just leave and go to Kitty House instead:

The view from where I stood in line.

What if I drove a truck like this?

I sneaked a peek at this and my jaw dropped.  A HK smart car?!  What will they come up with next? x)

I made poor Diane wait in line for ten minutes before I decided to leave.  She's not a HK lover like I am so waiting in line with her wasn't such a great idea.  Especially if I have to look at her sour expression --> (-_-)'''  I need someone who loves HK to hang out with! Haha.  How can you not love sanrio items?  They're so cute!  The other day, I saw these adorable earmuffs at H&M:

A little bit blurry because it was a quick snapshot.  I didn't want to get yelled at for taking photos in the store =/

Although they were so cute, I resisted buying them because I couldn't see myself wearing them in public without attracting odd stares.  I know I shouldn't care about what others think, but I'm just paranoid like that =(

However, I must say I am a proud owner of these recent HK items:

Here's a better picture of the rain boots.

I've been searching far and wide for that HK apron!  I was getting pretty depressed until I saw it at the Sanrio in Westminster Mall today.  *squeals*  Haha, yes I'm crazy... Now I'm just waiting for it to rain so I can wear my rain boots!  But I don't think it'll be pouring anytime soon...

What's your favorite Sanrio character?  Mine, besides Hello Kitty, is Pochacco.  But he's a classic character that's not really featured in the stores anymore...My newest favorite is Chococat.  =) *sigh* I can already see my future daughter being pampered with Sanrio love hehe.

Cruising around Santa Monica

Just got home from walking around all day in Santa Monica.  My feet are going to fall off soon...x.x But it was fun exploring around LA for Diane's 18th birthday.  What better way to celebrate than by having a mini shopping spree, right?  =P  Unfortunately, Diane wasn't able to buy anything she liked so we might have to go to South Coast so I can get her a birthday gift.  Honestly, after comparing many different malls I've been to, nothing beats South Coast Plaza.  It's sophisticated, indoors (I hate walking around in outdoor malls), and consists of a variety of stores from high-end designers--like Gucci, Burberry, Miu Miu, etc--to more affordable shops like AE, Wet Seal, etc.  They're even opening up a Forever 21 soon, which Diane is excited about.  Personally, I'm not a huge Forever 21 fan as I used to be.  Mainly due to the poor quality of their fabrics.  And their merchandise is pricier now!  Lamesauce.

Anyways, to sum it up: you get the most at the coast! =P

Back to Santa Monica...

It took about an hour for us to drive over there.

We played around with the camera to pass the time.

The sexy birthday girl.

Do I look older with glasses?

My hair style for the day--I love them braids!

We first stopped at this little Japanese boutique called Anap.  It was my first time there so I was really excited to check out all the J-fashion.

The store wasn't open when we arrived because they open a little late (at noon).  So in order to pass the time, Diane and I munched on some Beard Papa cream puffs =) After browsing around the store, I was a little bummed.  Maybe it's because I couldn't find anything to my liking but I felt like most of the clothes were a bit overpriced for their quality and it was either a hit or miss.  The boutique itself was cute (it's extremely pink and girly haha) and the sales associates were super friendly.  My mom ended up buying this really bizarre zebra-striped blouse which was a bit questionable for my tastes...It was quite amusing...

We headed out to Westfield Century City Mall afterwards because mumsy wanted to shop at Macy's.  Parking was ridiculous!  It took us 30 minutes before we were able to secure a spot for us x.x. I wasn't in the mood to take a lot of pictures of the stores because it was terribly windy today and my eyes were super irritated.  This is why I hate outdoor malls--you have to deal with annoying weather.

I did manage to get a picture of Zara though <3

The Juicy Couture here was pretty big!  It's not as big as the flagship store in Las Vegas, but it's the biggest one I've been to in Cali.  Everything was very neat and organized and the dressing room was SO PINK.  I loved it. I felt like a princess in there haha!

Front of the store

Messing around in the fitting rooms

Later, we finally headed to our final destination: the Third Street Promenade in downtown Santa Monica.  I liked how a lot of the stores were just there side-by-side along one street.  It was easy to browse through each store (a lot of the stores were pretty huge!) but with Veteran's Day sale n' all, it was super crowded.  I wanted to check out the Mango store here since I heard it was a flagship store.  The design and layout of the store is pretty modern, chic, and sophisticated.  It's more spacious than the one at South Coast but the available merchandise was very similar...which I thought was rather strange.  I figured it would have more since it's bigger.  Oh well, it was cool checking it out nonetheless =)  I would probably prefer working at the Mango in South Coast though hehe

Sorry, a bit blurry since I didn't use flash.

I liked their window display.

Here's my purchases for the day:

1) Two lace tanks - Abercrombie
2) Sweater - Forever 21
3) Pink belt - H&M
4) Heritage Crest Wallet - Juicy Couture

I've been hunting for that cream colored sweater everywhere!  I first saw it at the Forever 21 in Mission Viejo, but didn't buy it because I was a bit tight on money and figured I could find it at another store closer to home.  But I had the most difficult time hunting it down!  When I saw it randomly hanging on a go-back rack at the Third Street Promenade store, I dashed towards it before anyone else could get it xD

Anyways, that's my haul for the day.  I might stop by Sephora this weekend because I hear they're having another 20% off event?  Not so sure...but I hope so!  I've been wanting to buy some new skincare products.

Alrighty, gotta go rest now since I have work tomorrow.  *sigh*  At least tomorrow's paycheck Friday! ^^

Product Review: Kose Clear Turn White Mask

I know I mentioned before that I should try to update more often, but I just haven't been following through...mostly because I'm lazy and I figured no one reads this girly blog.  But I've discovered that Jackie actually reads it so I will try and blog more random posts for your reading pleasure Jackie =P Although I'm not sure if you'll even have time to visit here now since you started working full-time hehe.

Anywho...I went to Mitsuwa the other day and I noticed they were having a summer magazine sale.  A lot of the magazines were 75% off so I couldn't pass the chance to buy some (even though they were summer issues but oh well, I still love observing all the outfits)!  I also picked up some skincare products as well:

I want to do a quick review on the Kose Clear Turn White Masks because I've been really liking them so far.

These masks contain marine-derived collagen in order to brighten, whiten, and firm one's skin.  You're supposed to leave it on for 10-15 minutes, but I like to wear mine for about 25-30 minutes because I hate wasting all the excess essence.  Each mask is drenched in so much essence that when I pull it out of the package, it's dripping wet!  So if I were to leave it on for only 10 minutes, there would still be a generous amount of essence remaining.  I want to get my money's worth! =P I've been using these masks for two weeks so it's a bit early to confirm if my skin tone is any whiter, but I can say that it's much more soft and hydrated.  Immediately after removing the mask, my skin is brighter and smoother.  The next day, make-up application is easier because everything goes on smoother.  However, what I really love is that these masks don't break me out!  That's a HUGE deal to me since my skin is extremely acne-prone.  I may not have the most beautiful skin in the world (actually I'm VERY far from it *sigh*), but as long as these masks continue hydrating and providing awesome anti-aging benefits, then I may be on my way towards achieving decent looking skin.  I'm definitely looking forward to that day...

So, would I buy these again?  I probably will.  They're a little pricy (one pack includes 5 mask sheets for $9.99), considering you're supposed to use them 1-2 times a week.  But I really like the cotton mask sheets compared to the clay masks.  I feel like the serum/essence absorbs better into the skin when using cotton masks so your skin can reap the most benefits out of them.  Also, clay masks tend to dry out my skin =/

Alright, gonna head to bed early tonight because I'm going shopping at the Promenade in Santa Monica tomorrow with the family!  I haven't been there since I was a little girl so I'm super excited!  Good night everyone~

72

These past 6 years have made us stronger.  With every year that passes, I'm still amazed at how close and connected we've remained.  And it just keeps going.

Most couples don't usually stay together for so long...and even if they do, they might have grown so accustomed to each other that they lose that initial spark that keeps them close.  But not us.  Why?  Because we are a story of a kind.

And I will gladly order Truyen's special ramen any day!  =D

Happy Halloween!

This is Halloween, this is Halloween--everyone hail to the pumpkin song.

Yay, I just finished re-watching "Nightmare Before Christmas" since today's Halloween n' all.  I love Tim Burton movies =)

So what were my crazy, spooky Halloween plans this year?  I really went all out...are you ready to hear about it?  I....

*drumroll please!*

...just worked.

Haha.  Yes, lame, I know.  But hey, I was very amused by all the little kids trick-or-treating in the mall.  Their costumes were sooo cute!  I think one of my favorites was this one little boy who dressed as Dead Mau5.  It seemed like there were more trick-or-treaters in the mall this year...we ran out candy before the day was over--three jumbo bags worth of candy!  It's always heartbreaking telling the kids we have no more candy.  They just give you these sad puppy eyes and all I can do is smile and apologize =(

I was actually debating whether I should go trick-or-treating or not, but Diane didn't want to go with me.  It's pretty sad that I'm older and I really wanted to go yet my younger sister didn't.  *Sigh* Well...I probably would've felt way too old to be hunting for candy anyway...

Even though Diane refused to go trick-or-treating, we did have a mini Halloween movie night.

We munched on some chocolate cupcakes (with cream cheese frosting) while watching "Zombieland."  I couldn't watch that movie without wanting to throw up...it was TOO gory for me.  Note to self: do not eat while watching zombie movies.

Alright, before I go, I want to introduce you all to my new friend Mr. Owl:

Cute, huh?

I've noticed that owl necklaces are a big trend this Autumn.  The first time I saw him hanging on a mannequin in Mango, I kept laughing because I thought it looked so funny.  But now I think he's adorable and I couldn't resist buying him.  I wish the necklace chain was a bit shorter...I actually had to pull it up so it looks shorter in the picture.  Other than that, I love him!  His name was originally something else but I will refrain from revealing what it was since there are some people who misinterpret it as something dirtier...lol.  Diane thinks he's a possessed owl.  Maybe he's just cranky because he wants some candy?

Hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween!

Retail Therapy

Yesterday was payday at work and it was probably my biggest check I've earned so far.  I've been feeling extremely exhausted from working so many hours so I decided to pamper myself a bit and go on a mini shopping spree with Diane.  We were originally supposed to go karaoke at the KTV in City of Industry, but we didn't wake up early enough for their happy hour =( But it's okay...some shopping therapy didn't hurt either =P

Since I'm sick of South Coast (I feel like that's my second home!), Diane and I headed over to Fashion Island.  I wanted to check out the Juicy store since they're currently having their friends & family sale.  After much debate, I decided to splurge and purchase this pink velour jacket:

I love the design on the back!  Usually, I stay away from any kind of designs because I think they're flashy...but I thought this was cute.  And it's baby pink!  Lol...yes, I know I know, how girly...

I've been eyeing it for awhile and could never bring myself to buy it because it's on the expensive side.  But since I'm earning a bit more now, I wanted to treat myself.  Life is short, so you should indulge yourself once in awhile! That is my philosophy (which usually causes me to end up broke haha).

I love the Urban Outfitters at Fashion Island because they have a wider selection of merchandise.  I wanted to buy some new tights but it was a bit pricy there, so I ended up getting some at Forever 21:

I am in love with this necklace I bought too ~ hopefully it doesn't end up rusting too soon...

Afterwards, we wanted to try some cupcakes from Sprinkles.  I've never tried their cupcakes before so I had high expectations since I've heard many rave reviews about them.  When we arrived, there was a really long line outside!  It reminded me of the insane long lines at 85 degrees bakery and I was hesitant about waiting...I mean, they're just cupcakes...are they that worth it?  But we decided to wait since it was our first time and all.  One cupcake was $3.25 (expensive imo)!  We ended up getting a box of four ($13) because we couldn't decide on one flavor:

I chose the Black & White (which is just chocolate with vanilla frosting) and red velvet; Diane chose the milk chocolate cupcake and also a red velvet.  I only ate the Black & White one because I was too full...one cupcake is so filling!  Now I know why they cost so much... So what's my verdict on the infamous Sprinkles cupcakes?  They're actually quite delicious!  The texture is very smooth and soft, and I like how the frosting and cake just melt together in my mouth.  Also, I like how there isn't a mountain of frosting on the cupcakes, unlike Mrs. Beasley's!  Man, just eating all the frosting on Mrs. Beasley's cupcakes is filling...and their frosting is just gross.  I remember BBW used to always receive free leftover cupcakes from them because they didn't want to just toss them at the end of the day.  This was what I brought home one night:

So many cupcakes!  And at no expense!  I'm surprised I'm not fat from sugar overload.

Anywho, I basically just spent way too much money today.  And I need to purchase some contacts soon too (great...more money...)! If only I had a garden full of money trees...

Another year older...

I must be getting pretty old to feel so happy when someone thinks I'm younger than I really am.  The other day, I was talking to my co-worker about my upcoming birthday:

Co-Worker: So how old are you going to be? 20?
Me: No...22....
Co-Worker: What?  You don't even look 21!

I know most people will think the early 20s is a person's prime age, but I think there's nothing to look forward to after your 21st birthday.  Everyone looks forward to their sweet 16 or turning 18 and 21, but after that it's just down-hill.  Haha!  Well...then again, there is one thing I am looking forward to, and that is getting married and starting a family.  But other than that, I just think about how old I'm getting.  If only I could be forever 21 =P

I remember when I was in middle school, I always wanted to be older so I can drive, wear make-up, and  gain some independence.  Now that I'm more mature and reflect about the past, I laugh at how naive I was.  Getting older just comes with more responsibility and stressing over bills, bills, and more bills.  Everything is money!  Food, clothes, rent, school, etc.  And in order to pay for those bills, you have to start working more and it's just stressing.  So girls (and guys), enjoy your youth while you still can!

But for today, I will push aside my worries and relax.  I need a mini vacation...I feel like I've been working almost everyday!  My weak little body is going to break down soon.

However, it's not all about me--my parents' anniversary is also on my birthday.  So, happy 23rd anniversary mom and dad.  =)

Lost my motivation...

I'm back! Yes...I'm alive...I just haven't been motivated to blog lately.  On top of that, I haven't really had much to blog about.  Since I'm done with school (for now) and summer's rolled around, I've been living like a couch potato.  I think it's because I'm just old and cynical x.x I gots no energy left!

Especially when I hang around with my younger cousins.  My extended family from Texas visited today and I'm always excited to play with the kids.  I try to cherish the moments I spend with them while they're still young because who knows what'll happen in the future....they'll grow older and act too cool to hang out with weak, boring ol' me.  T.T

Here are some pics of my cousins (sorry for the poor quality...my cellphone camera isn't too great):

This is 4 year old Alan.  He's grown SOOO much bigger than when I last saw him!  I think he can be a football player when he grows up...look at them muscles! =P

This was Alan 4 years ago.  Isn't he adorable? I just want to pinch his cheeks and squeeze him.  I, on the other hand, look completely gross -.- I guess not much has changed for me in the past 4 years... haha!

Diane, Alan, me, and Megan <3  I think I need to steal some of Megan's chubby cheeks so I can look cute like her too.

I haven't seen my family on my mom's side for a long time due to unnecessary drama among the adults.  When I saw one of my aunts, the first thing she asked me was, "So...are you married yet?" I wasn't sure if she was joking so I just gave her an awkward smile and said, "Um...no...I'm only 21."  It's funny how a lot of people who I haven't seen in awhile ask me this question right off the bat.  I know there's probably a bunch of young couples who have married around my age but sorry folks, marriage is not on my agenda at the moment.  I kind of need a job first so I can afford simple everyday necessities...I told my older cousin this and she was like, "Yeah that's right.  The guy has to be able to afford things too.  [looks at my 11 year old boy cousin] No money, no lady!" He gave her this funny look that said, "Uh...girls are gross anyway."

I'm still amazed by how younger married couples can manage to survive.  I think it's great that they're able to start a living sooner but personally, I'm not in any hurry to get married.  You have the rest of your life to live with your significant other.  Right now, I still think there's much for me to learn and grow before I embark on that journey.

Anyways...enough of all this talk about marriage.

The other day I went with Truyen to 85 degrees and tried their new "Pink Diamond" strawberry and chocolate mousse cake.  I remember Jackie saying it was delicious so I decided to try it out myself.

I always love the presentation of all their cakes!  It makes it so hard to resist trying everything!

I thought it was very chocolate-dominated.  Personally, I'm a strawberry girl so I wish there was more of a strawberry taste to it.  Truyen liked it more than I did, especially since he's a chocolate man.  Eating this mousse cake reminded me of our usual shared ice cream combination: chocolate and strawberry.  Does that mean we're a chocoberry?  O.o

Afterwards, we browsed around H-Mart and were greatly amused by these:

We decided that the car is Truyen, the panda is me, and the monkey is Diane. Bwuaha.

I think I am too easily amused by things...well, I gotta remain happy somehow.  Growing older comes with too many responsibilities and it's starting to wear me out.  I need to grow stronger!  Rawr.  xD

Daddy's Day

Wow, it's been awhile since I last blogged!  Many things occurred in the past few weeks (the most recent one is I finally graduated from college!) and I will probably blog more about it later when I have more time.  I just wanted to write a quick post dedicated to my daddy since it's Father's Day and all.  I find it amusing (and a little embarrassing) that I still address my dad as "daddy."  He also refers to himself as "daddy" whenever he's not speaking to me in Vietnamese; otherwise, he would call himself "Ba."  I think no matter how old I get, I will always acknowledge him as "daddy," not because I'm still very much child-like at heart or because I'm "Daddy's little girl," but because it's something that's natural to me.  Yes, there are many times that he still treats me like a little girl (I'm sure other parents do too), but I always remind myself that it's because he cares for me and my sister.  So to show a little appreciation, I bought him a little tea set from Mitsuwa:

I forgot that he already had a teapot at home, but he still liked this one because of its' intricate details and craftsmanship.  So yay!  You can also see my fish tank in the picture where my emo fish lives.  I call it emo fish because it always abuses itself by banging against the aquarium glass.  So if you observe it more closely, you can see part of its' skin peeled off and its' terribly damaged fins.  I would take a picture of it upclose, but it would probably disturb you all.  Everytime it bangs against the glass, my dad would get frustrated and yell, "DUMMY FISH!" in a Vietnamese accent.  Then he would just stand there glaring at it, as if that would teach it a lesson.

Alright, gotta sleep early tonight since I'm waking up super early tomorrow to head off to Disneyland with the Truyen!  Speaking of Disney, look at what I had for breakfast this morning:

A Mickey-shaped omelette that was too cute to eat!  Excuse the deformed left ear haha.  I tried making two omelettes, but the second one kind of exploded...well, not exploded...the yolk just bursted so I decided to scramble it instead.

Okie dokie, good night~

Memorial Weekend

Hey everyone ~ Hope you all had a fun, relaxing Memorial weekend!  The weekend went by super fast for me, even though I didn't really have any plans.  Maybe it's because I worked Friday to Sunday.  I didn't really get to relax until Monday rolled around.

Nhakhanh finally came over and visited!  It's funny how we only live ten minutes apart and yet we only see each other once every couple months or so.  Why are you hiding from me woman?! =P We decided to fulfill our dream of making cream puffs (the idea was originally thought of back in December!  Our dream came true after half a year...haha!).  Well, honestly Diane did most of the work.  She was our little baking slave mwuaha =P

Here I am stuffing them cream puffs with yummy custard!  I HAD a picture of Nhakhanh too but she refuses to let me post it because she is a stinker.  Haha! J/k N., you know I love you.

We devoured these babies like there was no tomorrow!

Today I woke up kind of late...I guess I just didn't want the weekend to end =(  I knew it was going to be a long day so I prepared myself by eating breakfast for once:

Mumsy made some delicious "Vietnamese pizzas"

After class, I met up with Kim Pham (I told you I'd give you a shout-out!).  Dude, we haven't seen each other since middle school!  That's almost 8 years ago!  Omg I feel super old all of a sudden.  And we meet up the week right before I graduate too...oh well, better than never right?  We literally talked for an hour (there was soo much to catch up on).

Later, I met up with Jackie, Jackie's friend (I forgot her name...), and Truyen so we can all go pick up our cap and gowns.  I didn't even recognize Truyen at first because he was wearing these super reflective, flashy shades that he bought in Vegas over the weekend.  Apparently, he won--are you ready for this?--almost $900 playing poker!  I'm still shocked and amazed~ Guess no one was able to read his [sings] p-p-p-poker face.  Haha, like that Lady Gaga reference?  Haha...ha...Okay I'm lame.

The line to pick up our cap and gowns was long!  But time passed a bit faster since Truyen shared his exciting weekend in Vegas.  I seriously think everyone was in Vegas for Memorial weekend!  When we received our tickets and gown, Truyen was not pleased:

Basically his ticket said "nursing science" (even though he is actually a criminology major) and he was supposed to wear a salmon pink tassel LOL (I hope it's okay that I post this ^^;;)

He exclaimed, "There is NO way I am wearing a pink tassel at graduation" so he bought a royal blue one that signifies the bio sci majors.  I, on the other hand, absolutely love the pink tassel so I stole it ehehe.  I can't believe graduation is coming closer and closer...I'm trying to make the most of this last week and savor the moment.  I can't believe I will no longer be walking on Ring Road or strolling through Aldrich Park...It's amazing how four years really fly by.

On my way home, I stopped by Target to purchase the "Alice in Wonderland" Blu-Ray combo pack.  I love the cover--it's so colorful and whimsical.  Can't wait to watch the movie soon!

I feel drowsy all of a sudden.  It's probably because I haven't been getting much sleep lately...but I can't sleep until I watch tonight's "Glee" episode!  Yay gleeks~
